Circuit City. I know CC went %26quot;belly up%26quot; over 2 months ago and I probably should have been suspicious when the salesman said the cartridges can only be replaced at CC, but the price was perfect for my budget. Am I totally screwed in this problem?|||Lexmark ink carts can be purchased everywhere. The %26quot;salesman%26quot; at CC was full of crap. Here%26#039;s a tip. For the price of your Lex carts you can buy a printer including ink from Epson Direct for the same or less money. Epson has a CX9400Fax refurished for $65.00 Free S%26amp;H with a 1 year warranty. I%26#039;m sure that%26#039;s cheaper that Lex carts.|||Lexmark and Dell have certain models of printer where you pay very little for the printer and then discover the ink costs a fortune. It may be cheaper to buy a new printer than to get ink for yours. But ebay is a good place to start.
When buying a printer, you have to look beyond the price at the warranty and the cost of ink. Which is why I have always recommended epson. They have one year express-replacement warranty where they will fedex you a printer and pick up the old one, so you know the printer will last you at least a year. And with cartridges available for under $3 you know you wont go broke on ink.|||You can buy new compatible or remanufactured ink cartridges for your printer. The price is really good, and they have one year warranty.|||Look on ebay.
