Generally how much is an ink cartridge for a printer, black and white?

its an Hp|||Since you have an HP, the prices do have a range.

The cheapest from HP is the HP 21 Black, which is 14.99, the highest price you would pay for a black would be the 88XL black and that is around $35.

Now you can get replacements and refills for up to 70% off. One place I go to is O-ink, http://www.oinkinkstore.com is their website. I go to their stores in Michigan, but they can refill most cartridges from HP for around $9, and the replacements are from $12.99 to $24. Plus if I want they will pay cash for my empty.

Make sure you check what printer you have, cause some printers will take higher capacity printer cartridges compared to what comes with the printer.|||25 black 35 40 color maybe less if older printer|||If you buy 10 you can get them for about $3 plus postage. Thse are not branded but are just as good. Do a Google search for inkjet cartridges, generic.|||Visit hp.shopping.com

And choose which one you want.|||Walgreens do refill it for you.

Or you can refill your empty cartridge more info this site.

http://www.ink-refills.org/index.html|||about $20 bucks....|||If it is a fairly common cartridge, you can take it to Walgreens and they will refill and check it for $10 for black and white or $15 for color. They can normally do it while you wait. This is assuming you live the U.S.|||Black cartridges range anywhere from $5 to $45, depending on the cartridge, and if it is a new cartridge, or a refilled cartridge|||I normally pay anywhere from $20 to $30 for each cartridge. I try to get them from Micro Center. You can bet to pay %26amp; $50/$60 bucks for your ink.

I have baught ink a few times from Island Ink jet that are considerably cheaper, around $8 or $15 each.
