Anyone know how to reset the 'low ink' indication after HP ink cartridge was refilled?

I refilled the black ink cartridge but the HP 4110 all-in-one printer (and the software utility) still show %26#039;low ink%26#039; status, do you know of a way to reset this??|||You can%26#039;t, the printer recognizes the cartridges. Sometimes if you have 5 older cartridges on hand you can install them, and un install them in order to clear the memory. then hopefully when you install the refilled cartridge the printer will not recognize it and set the ink level to full.

This used to work on older HP, with regards to the newer models I am not to sure if they have increased the memory.

Either way the ink level is just a page counter, you really don%26#039;t need it. Trust your eye, when the colours start to fade, refill or replace the cartridge.|||With the newer HP printers, they do not %26quot;allow%26quot; you to use 3rd party cartridges or to refill the cartridges with ink. They force you to use HP OEM replacements|||Try unplugging it from the power for about 10 sec. then plugging back in see if that will do it.|||In the refill kit you bought it did not have instructions on how to trick the printer. You have to use tape to cover some of the contacts on the print cartridge and install it and then remove the tape and re-install it and it will be full (new ) cartridge. Thanks|||On my HP printer, I replaced the cartridge with a non-HP brand, and the utility still shows that I have no ink. Beats me.|||After an ink cartridge is replaced most printer software bring up a box asking if you put a new one in or the old one in. If you get this question make sure you say new. If the printer itself has an LED window you may also see a similar message there. If neither is the case I would unplug the power connector for 30 seconds and then check the ink levels after it resets. Good Luck.
