What can i do to prevent inkjet cartridges from drying out?

I know somebody suggested to print atleast a page a week......other then doing this is there any other solution to the problem?By the way i have hp all-in one and a lexmarx z series and both are inkjets...i have never got the cartridges dry so far.....Thanx in advance|||PUt them in plastic bag or wrap the cartrdige is saran wrap. Just as long as it is air tight, you are safe and you can re-use.|||Ziplock (tm) bags is your answer. :)|||Some printer models have means of cleaning the printheads. When we do not use them for extended periods, you could remove them from your printer and place tape over the print heads to stop the bleeding of the ink, as them manufacturer does when he ships it to you. Your cold also use a handy Zip lock bag, to stop any air from reaching the print head. Otherwise air will dry up your cartridges very fast.|||2 good answers and here%26#039;s another one. If you remove the carts the nozzles will dry up and clog in the printer. So if you save the carts from drying you cannot stop the nozzles from clogging. If you want to save money on ink, then get a CISS for your printer. You will still have to print 1 or 2 times a week but you will save Tons of money. http://www.inkproducts.com/ink-store/

If it%26#039;s that you just do not do any amount of printer then get a Laser printer. They use Toner rather than ink and you should never get clogged nozzles, and the Toner is dry to begin with. These are your only options.|||Once you remove the seal on the inkjet cartridge, the fluid inside could start to evaporate but frankly, I haven%26#039;t had any problems like that with either my epson (which uses ink that is separate from the print head) and my canon scanner/printer (integrated print head).

I%26#039;ve had to clean HP inkjets that got clogged up from not being used for a long time but I don%26#039;t recall having one %26quot;dry out%26quot;.|||here is some info which might help
